We see a lot of scripts, so notice trends. As actors, we also usually have insights to how a script should sound. And often, when reading them, we notice nuance that others will not.

When do I go full-time? Getting Started in Voice Over #24
How do you know “when”. I talk about several things for you to consider! (It’s a general question, though for ANY “part-time” business!) .
Getting Stared in Voice Over #23: More on Mics and Foam backing
I’m in several on-line forums. I’ve seen many posts the last week on foam surrounds for mics.
Disclaimer: I’m NOT a sound guy; I’m NOT a mic specialist but here’s some common sense thoughts…
Phone Messages, IVR and Voice Mail
Phone Messages, IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and Voice Mail.
I included two different demos in today’s episode. Which do you like better? The first is from last spring and includes my old branding, and another I did just this week. Comments? Which would make you buy?
Getting Stared in Voice Over #22: Digital Delivery Platforms #1:
For a couple weeks I’m going to talk about digital delivery platforms and my take on them. Today is just a primer and will relate my experiences in weeks ahead.
Digital delivery is everything from #voiceovers to excel spreadsheets. There are #voiceacting (only) sites and I’ll touch on them also. .

Getting Stared in Voice Over #21 (Even) MORE on your recording space
For more on where this all started, go back and hit the first three episodes of “Getting Stared in Voice Over” back in July 2021.
While I’d been in radio “back in the day”, last year, I wanted to update my capabilities and engaged Dan Popp in Akron, OH (http://www.colorsaudio.com/podcast) for coaching. Please hit that link for his podcast also. This is what reminded me today that I may need to update my information in those first episodes. (Knowing what you know and explaining it are sometimes different things!)
Pushing your limits- It’s “Intentional” Monday!
What limits of your own have you pushed lately? A friend and I went hiking yesterday. For me, it was the first time in a long while. A challenge? Yup! Did she push me a bit? Maybe a little, but it was more (for me) about getting in better condition, so pushing past the initial fatigue was important!
Push yourself this week. Better customer service, faster deliveries, what can you do to be better?
It’s a lot like hard work! Getting started in Voice Over #20
Hard to believe I’ve done 20 episodes of Getting started in Voice Over! I was planning on doing a few episodes and here we are. Thanks for your support! . What can I record for you?
Yellowstone 1883 (Audio Production Demo)
One of my favorite things to do is reproduce the audio from commercials. I hope that #paramountplus likes my version. The video is there’s in its un-edited form. The entire audio track was taken out and redone. You might guess that I did the #voiceover. .
